PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of performing an accurate operation control at a low cost by a method wherein a surrounding air temperature detected by a surrounding air temperature sensor is corrected in response to an operating state. SOLUTION: A surrounding air temperature sensor 20 for sensing a surrounding air temperature is arranged near an outdoor heat exchanger 3. A control part 10 for controlling a compressor 1 in response to an operating state is also provided with an operation mode discriminating part, a surrounding air temperature correction value setting part and a surrounding air temperature correction part. The surrounding air temperature correction value setting part sets the surrounding air temperature corrected value in response to a result of discrimination of the operation made discriminating part for discriminating cooling, heating operations or stopped state. The surrounding air temperature correction part corrects the surrounding air temperature detected by the surrounding air temperature sensor 20 in response to the surrounding air temperature corrected value set by the surrounding air temperature corrected value setting part. Then, the control part 10 performs an operation control in response to the corrected surrounding air temperature. |
