<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure satisfactory properties of an image, sufficiently high fixability even in high-speed printing and satisfactory preservability and to prevent the contamination of a head by incorporating a specified compd. SOLUTION: This magnetic toner contains 0.1-5.0 pts.wt. compd. represented by the formula [Ti(OCOCn H2n+1 )2 -O]x [where (n) is an integer of 14-20 and (x) is an integer of 2-6]. Since a magnetic head performs recording under very slight levitation from the surface of a magnetic recording medium, when a toner having a large quantity of electric charges by triboelectric charge is used, it sticks to the head, levitation is made unstable and the interval between the medium and the head is made ununiform to deteriorate properties of an image. The quantity of electric charges of the magnetic toner is preferably regulated to -5 to +5μC/g. Since the compd. is contained, the dispersibility of a magnetic substance is improved, the melt viscosity of a resin can be reduced and adhesion to paper is improved. As a result, fixability is improved.</p> |
