PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To understandably inform a user of the changing of a display by automatically surely displaying a detailed map by a proper hysteresis characteristic when the automobile of the user approaches a destination. SOLUTION: The necessary relating between map databases (a), (b) is prepared from latitude and longitude information of the destination in a navigation control device 6. Then, when the user travels and approaches the vicinity of a destination area, changeover boundary data being changeover area information for changing a display are set. When the destination is set and the user starts a traveling, the displayings of maps are changed as necessary by performing calculations while using set numerical values based on position information shown by a location device 7 in the navigation device 6. Then, the navigation device changes the display to the display of the map database (b) being detailed information when the automobile reaches the destination by monitoring whether the automobile reaches within a changeover area or not with a destination area judging part 5 during the traveling. |
