PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic low in irritation to skin. SOLUTION: This preparation material of a cosmetic comprises a lipid phase compound at least one of a glycerol mono-, di-and/or tricarboxylic acid ester of a 18C-16C monobasic acid essentially not containing a saturated hydrocarbon and at least one ester selected from the group of substances of the structural formula [R1 and R3 are each a 3-30C saturated hydrocarbon group; R2 is a 5-50C saturated hydrocarbon group; (n) and (m) are each a value of 5-25] and optionally, water, a lipid, an emulsifying agent, and generally another active compound, an auxiliary and/or an additive. The preparation substance is used for treating lips.
