PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk with a remarkably thin light transmission layer realizing a high recording density and its manufacture. SOLUTION: An optical disk 100 is constituted of a disk substrate 1 having an information-recording part at a face where a laser light 10 enters, a reflecting film 2 formed on the information-recording part, and a light transmission layer 3 on the reflecting film 2. Concentric projecting parts 8, 9 forming a plane even with an upper face of the light transmission layer 3 are formed in one body with the disk substrate 1 at an outer circumferential part at the side of the light transmission layer 3 of the optical disk and a circumferential part of a center hole of the optical disk. A forming device for forming information pits 23 is constituted at the side of the light transmission layer 3 of the projecting parts 8, 9 and disk substrate 1. The optical disk 100 is formed through steps of heating/injecting a substrate material to the forming device, forming the reflecting film 2 on an information pit face of the disk substrate 1 obtained in the substrate formation step, applying an ultraviolet curving resin onto the reflecting film 2 formed on the disk substrate 1 by spin coating and setting the resin thereby forming the light transmission layer 3. |
