PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a burning tool capable of obtaining in good yield a sintered product of an Mn based material excellent in electric and magnetic characteristics hardly causing a problem of a distortion due to burning, light in weight, excellent in handleability, good in thermal efficiency and excellent in durability by blending aluminum oxide and manganese oxide in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This burning tool is a manganese oxide-aluminum oxide composite material, and contains 30-60mol% aluminum oxide and the balance of manganese oxide. This burning tool is produced by mixing powders of these oxides in the above range, forming an obtained powdery mixture in a prescribed condition and burning at 1,300-1,550 deg.C for 1-2hr. Manganese carbonate, dimanganese trioxide, manganese dioxide, trimanganese tetraoxide, etc. are used as a starting material of the manganese oxide. The purities of these two starting materials are each >=99wt.% preferably. The electric and magnetic characteristic of the burned product are deteriorated when the purity is less than 99wt.%. An MnAl2 O4 spinel type structure is formed in the burning tool. |
