PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To full-automatically insert a filter piece by providing a device control part to control the relative position of a head for holding a thin piece by driving an automatic carrying mechanism based on the results of measurement by a measuring part, and control the process in which the thin piece is inserted in a groove part. SOLUTION: A side or a surface of a filter piece 1 is observed by a measuring head 14 to discriminate the top and the back of the filter piece 1. An assembly robot 8 is operated to move a head 7 for holding a thin piece to hold the filter piece 1 on a light wave guiding channel tip 2 loaded on a parts feeding tray 6 with grooves. A groove part 4 is picked up by the measuring head 14 to measure the position and the angle by an image processing circuit 17. The assembly robot 8 is controlled so as to align the filter piece therewith, a thin piece holding head 7 is slowly lowered, and the filter piece 1 is inserted in the groove part 4. |
