PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, without being affected by an irregularity in the electrostatic characteristic of the photoreceptor of each of image forming units, a color image which is stable all the time, to make halftone reproducibility high, and to facilitate maintenance, in a color electrophotographic device having four image-forming units. SOLUTION: The four image-forming units 1B, 1Y, 1M, and 1C, each of which has a charge roller, the photoreceptor 9, a developing roller 19 and so on and forms a toner image whose color is different from those of the others are placed into an image forming position 50 in order, a patch image is formed onto the photoreceptor 9 of each of the image forming units and transferred to an intermediate transfer belt 32, and the density of each patch image is detected by a toner concentration sensor 61. Then, conditions for latent-image formation in each image forming unit are determined, and a toner image in each color is formed using the determined conditions. |
