发明名称 METHOD FOR SINGLE POLARIZATION OF LITHIUM TANTALATE SINGLE CRYSTAL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for single polarization of a lithium tantalate single crystal which substantially obviates the occurrence of a failure and coloration in the single crystal subjected to single polarization and has good reproducibility. SOLUTION: The lithium tantalate single crystal is subjected to the single polarization by arranging a pair of electrodes 2, 3 on the flanks of the lithium tantalate single crystal 1 grown in such a manner that its Z-axis constitutes the flanks so as to hold the single crystal therebetween, heating the single crystal to its Curie temp. or above and impressing voltage between the electrodes to act an electric field in the Z-axis direction of the lithium tantalate single crystal. The lithium tantalate single crystal and the electrodes are fixed via a paste for the electrodes consisting essentially of Au powder, lithium tantalate powder and org. vehicle. The contact resistance is made greatly lower than the conventional method of applying the lithium compd. powder, the lithium tantalate powder, etc., and the electrical conductivity is greatly improved by the effect of the Au powder in the paste for the electrodes. The voltage drop with the paste for the electrodes which is the packed layer is thus prevented.
