PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ink, comprising a resin component composed of at least either of a water-soluble resin and a water-dispersible resin and a pigment component composed of a color pigment and an extender pigment in a specific proportion, excellent in weather and heat resistances and useful for a color filter. SOLUTION: This ink for ink jet comprises (A) a resin composed of at lease either of (i) a water-soluble resin and (ii) a water-dispersible resin and (B) a pigment composed of (iii) a color pigment and (iv) an extender pigment at preferably (1:10) to (4:1), especially preferably (1:10) to (3:1) weight ratio of the components (A) to (B) and preferably (1:4) to (4:1), especially preferably (1:3) to (2:1) weight ratio of the components (iii) to (iv). The components (A) and (B) are contained in an amount of preferably 1-20wt.%, especially preferably 3-15wt.% expressed in terms of solid content in water or an aqueous solvent. Furthermore, the ink preferably contains 0.5-20wt.% water-soluble organic solvent having >=30dyn/cm surface tension and <=1mmHg vapor pressure at 25 deg.C. |
