Clathrating agents such as * small Greek beta *-cyclodextrin may be applied topically in the form of powders, gels, creams or dispersions for the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders such as wounds, eczema or psoriasis. The compositions may also include an amino polysaccharide, i.e. glucosamine hydrochloride or chitin.
