PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor element which can reduce the stabilizing time of electromotive force after a heater voltage is applied, can reduce the sizes of components, and simplify the manufacturing process. SOLUTION: In a gas sensor element, one surface of a solid electrolyte layer 7 and the surface of a ceramic plate 3 carrying a heater 2 on one surface opposite to the surface on which the heater 2 is formed are directly joined to each other through a reference electrode or working electrode formed by using adhesive conductive paste composed mainly of an electronic conductive material and an adhesive. When the reference electrode is used for the junction, the gap produced between the layer 7 and plate 3 is sealed with a gas-impermeable layer. |
