HOLOGRAM COLOR FILTER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the color balance of three colors, R, G, B by additionally lessening the dependency of diffraction efficiency on wavelengths. SOLUTION: This hologram color filter consists of an array of element convergent holograms 5'. These element convergent holograms 5' split light by dispersing the wavelengths of the white light made incident at a prescribed angle θwith the normal of a hologram recording surface in the direction approximately along the hologram recording surface. The element convergent holograms 5' are formed by superposing or multiplex recording plural sheets of the holograms 51, 52. The spatial wavelength distributions of the wavelength dispersion by the respective holograms are approximately aligned to each other with respect to the white light 3 made incident at the prescribed angle θ and the peak wavelengths of the diffraction efficiency vary from each other.
