In step S3, the linear approximation is carried out between the linear parts of the output density characteristic of the set center value and the read output density characteristic. Both output density characteristics are compared with each other in step S4, and the next image adjustment coefficients A and B are calculated in step S5. The coefficients A and B are set at a primary conversion part in step S6, and a γtable of a γ conversion part is switched based on the coefficients A and B in step S7. |
