PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of electrolyte even under the high-temp., high humidity environment. SOLUTION: A stepped insulator ring 4 has an enlarged diameter over-part 4a and a reduced diameter under-part 4b and is equipped interiorly with a step 4c, and the reduced diameter foot part 4b is installed on a rack 2b positioned on the set 1 of electrode plates from the top opening 2A of a can 2 having a bottom in which the set 1 of electrode plates and an electrolyte are accommodated. The peripheral edge 5a of a lid 5 equipped interiorly with a safety valve 5e is installed at the mentioned step 4c, and a place to be sealed is prepared where the upper processing inside wall 2a of the can 2, the peripheral wall 4A of the enlarged diameter over-part 4a, and the peripheral edge 5a of the lid are facing each other, and the fastening processing is applied to this place for sealing so that a sealed structure is accomplished. A sealing agent consisting of oil-form bitumen, organic solvent, and parafin series oil is applied to these mutually facing surfaces 2a, 2b, 4c and is subjected to a drying process. |
