CURABLE SILICONE COATING COMPOSITION

A curable silicone coating compsn. comprises: (a) a cpd. of formulae (I) - (VII); (b) an organohydrogensilicon cpd(s).; and (c) a platinum gp. metal-contg. catalyst. RR1R2SiO(R2SiO)x(RR1SiO)y(RR2SiO)zSiRR1R2 (I); RR1R2SiO(RR1SiO)y(RR2SiO)zSiRR1R2 (II); RR1 R2SiO(R2SiO)x(RR2SiO)zSiRR1R2 (III); RR1R2SiO(R2SiO)x(RR1SiO)ySiRR1R2 (IV); RR1R2SiO(R2SiO)xSiRR1R2 (V); RR1R2SiO(RR1SiO)ySiRR1R2 (VI); RR1R2SiO(RR2SiO)zSiRR1R2 (VII); R = a monovalent or 1-20 C halohydrocarbon; R1 = -(CH2)nSi(OR)3, -(CH2)n(R2SiO)xSi(OR)3 or R; R2 = vinyl, -(CH2)mCH=CH2 or R; x = 0-9000; y = 0-1800; z = 0-900; x+y+x = less than or equal to 9000; n = 2-20; and m = 1-18, provided that there is at least one gp. from -(CH2)nSi(OR)3 or -(CH2)n(R2SiO)xSi(OR)3 and at least one vinyl gp. or gp. of formula -(CH2)mCH=CH2 per cpd.. Also claimed are the following: (1) a curable silicone coating compsn. comprising (a) an organosilicon cpd. having at least two olefinic hydrocarbon radicals per cpd.; (b) and (c) as described, and (d) a cpd. of formula (i) R2R1SiO(R2SiO)x(RR1SiO)ySiR2R1; (ii) R2R1SiO(R2SiO)xSiR2R1; or (iii) R2R1SiO(RR1SiOySiR2R1; (2) prepn. of a cured coating comprising coating the compsn. on the surface of a substrate, and exposing the coating and substrate to atmospheric moisture or an energy source of heat or actinic radiation; and (3) a cured coating.
