FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has inputs of controlled m-bit word 1, module M convolution unit 2 (where m=n+K, n is number of data bits of controlled word, K is number of check bits of controlled word, M is such that K - [log[({A/M}•M)]], where A is value of number entered in data part of controlled word), comparison circuit 3, two groups 4 and 11 of delay elements, three group 5, 8, 9 of AND gates, group 6 of OR gates, group 10 of NOT gates 1, delay element 12, two-bit binary counter 7, two groups 13 and 14 of data outputs, and two control outputs 15, 16. Device functions to detect persistent errors in storage devices by comparing K-bit check code coming from storage device with K-bit check code obtained as result of module M convolution of n-bit information word arriving from storage device. Device also corrects detected errors by entering inverted M-bit word into same location and reinverting word in re-reading. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. |
