PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously adsorb moisture in a chamber body by bringing hydrogen ion separation means having a hydrogen ion conductor film into contact with an adsorbent in order to release moisture adsorbed by the adsorbent to the outside of a moistureproofing storage chamber body. SOLUTION: Provided air in a chamber body 1 is circulated through an adsorbent 15 with circulation means 17, moisture in the chamber body 1 is adsorbed and accumulated in the adsorbent 15 to lower the moisture in the chamber body 1. In contrast, the adsorbent 15 adsorbs the moisture and hence moistening action is gradually deteriorated. However, a decomposition reaction: H2 O→2H<+> +(1/2)O2 +2e<-> is produced at an interface between a hydrogen ion conductor film 20 and porous electrodes 21a, 21b owing to application of voltage to hydrogen ion separation means 19, and oxygen O2 produced by the decomposition is left behind in the chamber body 1 while hydrogen H2 is discharged as gas to the outside of the chamber body 1. As a result, the moisture in the moisture adsorbent 15 is continuously discharged to the outside of the chamber body 1, and hence moisture adsorption is prevented from being deteriorated.
