摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of valves for switching the line oil pressure, the number of part items and a space in establishing each shift stage by switching the combination of oil pressure supply and discharge to each engaging element. SOLUTION: The third speed and fourth speed are switched after detecting that the oil pressure is supplied to a first shift device SV1, a second shift device SV2, a third shift device SV3, and an output side oil passage of the first shift device SV1 or of the second shift device SV2, all of which produce the line pressure, with combinations of the oil pressure supply and discharge in every shift stage, to respective engaging elements C1, C2, B1, B2 for setting the shift stage in correspondence to the operating condition of a vehicle. At the same time, a shift can be done by using switching means 18, 19, which cut off the oil passage to one engaging element C1, which gives engaging motion at the time of the first and third speed, after detecting the oil pressure supplied to the output-side oil passage of the second shift device SV2 or to the output-side oil passage of the third shift device SV3.
