PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain color filters exhibiting excellent optical characteristics and light resistance by coloring at least one patterns with specific dyes. SOLUTION: At least one patterns are colored by the dyes expressed by formula in the process for producing the color filters having colored films on the patterns by repeating processes for providing the surface of a substrate with patterned films having 0.2 to 1.5 film thickness, then coloring these film with the dyes and providing the surface of the colored films obtd. in such a manner with non-dyeable protective films. In the formula, M signifies H, Li, Na, K, NH4 , monoethanol ammonium, diethanol ammonium, etc.; n signifies 1 or 2; R1 , R3 respectively independently signify H, CF3 , etc.; R2 signifies H, CH3 , etc.; R4 signifies H, C2 H5 , etc.; R5 signifies H, OCH3 , etc.; R6 signifies H or n-C4 H9 ; R7 , R9 respectively independently signify H or CH3 ; R8 signifies H, CH3 , OH, etc., respectively. |
