<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a computer printer for generating high-quality printing images effectively by printer driver 21 using a split printer driver separated for an individual function. SOLUTION: This split printer driver 21 is provided with an individual page driver 31 for optimizing printing data 30 and storing them in a journal file 33, a journal file processor 35 for retrieving the optimized printing data from the journal file 33, and an individual drawing driver 37 for receiving the optimized printing data from the journal file processor 35. The optimized printing data are processed with an image processor. The optimized printing data are converted into picture elements, which are supplied to a printer 18 to generate high-quality printing images.</p> |
