PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix only the base end sides of optical fiber connection parts in V-shaped grooves without fixing the tip end sides, and cut the optical fiber tips precisely at a time. SOLUTION: The optical fiber array member 1 is formed having the V grooves 15 into which optical fibers 5 are inserted at right angles to the paper surface, and a clearance groove 3 for optical fiber cutting used to cut and true up the connection tips 20 of the optical fibers arrayed in the grooves 15, one by one, together by a dicing saw 4 is formed across the V grooves 15. On the arrangement area side of the connection base end sides 23 of the optical fibers 5, a blocking groove 9 which stops an adhesive is formed at an interval with the clearance groove 3 across the V grooves 15 to stop the adhesive 10 which fixes the connection part base end sides 23 of the optical fibers 5 in the V grooves 15 from flowing to the connection tips 20. |
