PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent storage properties, easy handling on manufacturing of an artificial stone, less fluctuation on appearance of a product and excellent three-dimensional effect by compounding specified amt. of a pigment and a particulate substance for grain with a specified mean particle diameter in a gel coat wherein an unsatd. polyester resin is a main ingredient. SOLUTION: A colored gel coat for molding of grain tone is obtd. by compounding 0.01-5.0 pts. pigment and 0.1-50 pts. particulate substance for grain with a mean particle diameter of 0.1-5mm to 100 pts.wt. gel coat wherein an unsatd. polyester resin is a main ingredient. As the pigment, various inorg. pigments and high class org. pigments such as perylene series, isoindolinone series and polyazo series are cited. As the particulate substance for grain, ground stone, mica, particulate pieces of a polyester film, ground products of a colored unsatd. polyester are cited. For manufacturing an artificial stone with grain tone, a gel coat layer is formed by adding a curing agent in a colored gel coat for molding a grain tone, applying it on the surface of a mold by means of a spray method and brushing and curing it. |
