PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide advertizing and public information for an information retrieving person while retrieving information without his/her operation.in an information providing system executing interactive information retrieval and providing information of the retrieving result. SOLUTION: An information storing server 2 transmits advertizing and public information 222 to an information retrieving terminal 1 until receiving a retrieving request from the information retrieving terminal 1. The information retrieving terminal 1 stores advertizing and public information 222 receiving until transmitting the retrieving request in an information storing part 12. In a period from the transmission of the retrieving request by the information retrieving terminal 1 to the reception of information on the result of retrieving retrieving person's desiring information 221 from the information storing server 2 by the information retrieving terminal 1, advertizing and public information 222 is read from the information storing part 12 to display on an information display 13.
