FRAME RELAY EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the number of logical channels in a trunk line smaller than that of PVCs(permanent virtual circuits) between a terminal and a frame relay equipment at the time of using a public frame relay service for the trunk line concerning the frame relay equipment using the frame relay service of public network. SOLUTION: At the time of receiving a frame addressing another same frame relay equipment through respective public networks from plural housing terminals 8, the frame relay equipment 1 adds PVC information set to the side of a terminal to each frame by a routing processing part 3 and next, adds the frame with an address part including DLCI-(data link connection identifier) of PVC registered on the public network for communication between with an opposite frame relay equipment and transmits it to the public network 8. The opposite frame relay equipment receiving the frame from the public network 8 removes an address part from a receiving frame and identifies added PVC information to transmit the frame to a terminal housed in its own equipment.
