PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric porcelain compsn. having a high relative dielectric constant εr , high no-load Q and a low temp. coefft. τf of resonance frequency by forming a mixed phase consisting of Li-Nb-Ti-O crystals having a rutile type crystal structure and LiNbO3 crystals. SOLUTION: Prescribed amts. of lithium carbonate, niobium oxide and titanium oxide as starting materials are wet-mixed ith a solvent such as water or alcohol so as to obtain a compsn. represented by the formula, xLiO1/2 - yNbO5/2 -zTiO2 (where x>=0.25, y<=0.45 and 0.10<=z<=0.45). The resultant mixture is freed of the solvent, pulverized and calcined at 1,000-1,300 deg.C for 1-5hr in an oxygen-contg. atmosphere, e.g. in air. The resultant calcined powder is mixed with an org. binder such as PVA until a homogeneous state is obtd. and this mixture is dried, pulverized and compacted under 100-1,000kg/cm<2> pressure. The resultant compact is fired at 1,000-1,400 deg.C in an oxygen-contg. atmosphere. |
