摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently measure a magnetic mean block before the process of mounting it on a base plate by measuring a gap track by picking up the image of a tape travel surface which undergoes mirror finish in a mirror finishing part by an optical microscope. SOLUTION: The tape travel surface of a head block is brought into contact with a wrapping tape by proper contact force, and also the mirror finish of the tape travel surface is performed in the state that the wrapping tape has proper tensile force. In the process of measurement, a slider is moved to obtain the tilt of the head block by the optical microscope 83 of a measuring part 80. On the basis of the tilt, a swinging mechanism 65 is rotated by theθtable of a swinging part 63 to correct the tilt of a jig. When the tilt of the head block has been corrected, the central part of the gap track is put into the visual field of a second objective lens to measure a gap value by image processing.
