摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the luminous efficiency of a phosphor for an intensifying screen, so as to reduce, for example, an X-ray exposure dosage for a subject, and ensure the improvement or the like of inspection accuracy in industrial nondestructive inspection or the like. SOLUTION: This phosphor is substantially represented in the form of Gd2 O2 S: Tb and Ge, or Gd2 O2 S:Tb, Ge and Ce, and used for an intensifying screen, containing Ge within the range of 1×10<-5> to 0.1wt.%. Also, the content of Tb is, for example, between 0.2 to 0.9wt.% and the content of Ce is between 1×10<-7> and 1×10<-5> wt.%. The intensifying screen forms a phosphor layer containing the foregoing phosphor on a carrying substrate, and a protection film is formed on the phosphor layer.
