PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute an outdoor device and a communication system in a surrounding air processing type air conditioner in such a way that a capability control range is wide and a fine linear control can be carried out, eliminate a charge fee trouble caused by an inaccurate operating information of each of the indoor devices in a charge aligning communication systems for a separate type indoor device and constitute an alarm communication system for a maintenance operation for the outdoor device. SOLUTION: A surrounding air processing type air conditioner is made such that its outdoor device is composed of a gas engine type heat pump. Outdoor devices 1 to 5 are totally changed over in their operation and controlled in their capability through an interface circuit IF with a surrounding air processing system control circuit CC. In a charge fee distributing system, a collating system for collating between an operating information of the indoor device and an operating information of the outdoor device is employed and as to the case in which the maintenance work is required, a load amount of each of the elements is accumulated to generate an alarm when the amount reaches a set time.
