<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure constant recording to and erasure from a heat sensitive recording medium at an optimal condition by heating resistive heating elements to an optimal temperature in relation to the temperature of the heat sensitive recording medium. SOLUTION: When a heat-sensitive recording medium 1 which is being carried touches an erasing heat sensitive head 6, a temperature change in the erasing heat sensitive head 6 is measured and the temperature of the heat sensitive recording medium 1 is detected. In accordance with the detected temperature of the heat sensitive recording medium 1, a set temperature to heat the erasing heat sensitive head 6 is selected, and the heat sensitive recording medium 1 is heated at a temperature suited to the temperature of the heat sensitive recording medium 1 at that time.</p> |
