<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating an optical sensor which detects an object present in a monitoring region by receiving an optical signal transmitted to the monitoring region at a specified time interval. SOLUTION: A transmitted optical signal 2 and an interference signal 8, if any, are received 13 and evaluated 14 in order to detect and object 12 present in a monitoring region, and transmission 11 of the optical signal 2 and receiving of interference signal 8 are executed, respectively, in a temporary subsequent frame intervals. When no interference signal 8 is present in the frame interval, transmission of the optical signal 2 is executed at the end of the frame interval and normalized moment of transmission of the optical signal 2 is defined. When an interference signal 8 is present in the frame interval, next optical signal is transmitted with a time lag behind the normalized moment of transmission.</p> |
