SUBSTANCE: improved protection from corrosion with reduced amount of earth work, labour and material cost are achieved due to arrangement of anticorrosion cathode protection with anode grounding member, comparison electrode and auxiliary electrode which are buried into ground close to at least part of metal and/or metal-containing protection objects such as trimming of structures, components of bottoms, walls, roofing, flooring, butt joints, etc. Installed at sites selected according to local climatic, geographic and geophysical factors is at least one converting substation in the form of housing which is protected from weather precipitation and sun rays. Laid between converting substation and protected object are electric power and measuring circuits, and ends of these circuits are connected to aforesaid converting substation. Also provided are panels and boards for carrying units and components of electrical equipment which create former of protective potentials. Power unit based on direct current source ensures delivery of protective potential difference between protected object and anode grounding member. Control system has functional units with device for separation of controlled potentials. Input control unit has switch for at least three modes of operation. Ends of aforesaid circuits are connected with outlets of shaper of protective potentials in convenient substation, and their other ends are connected with protected object, anode grounding member, comparison electrode and auxiliary electrode. Connection of units and components of protective potential shaper between each other and with circuits with creation, depending on actual potentials at protected object and both electrodes, of corresponding protective potential at protected object. Checking and protection unit and also at least one of control system units are arranged on one common board, and all other units and components of protective potential shaper of converting substation are mounted on separate board.
