The combined straw and stirrer consists of a straw (10) which is attached by means of a clip (4) to the back of the stirrer (2). The stirrer is in the shape of a spoon. The lower part of the stirrer has an aperture (12) with a shoulder (18) to receive the end of the straw. There is a duct (16) beneath the aperture which extends to the tip of the stirrer. The back of the stirrer has a groove (8) for aligning the straw, and its upper end can have an enlargement which can be used for publicity purposes. Both the stirrer and the straw and preferably made from a food-grade plastics material, and are designed to be disposed of after use.
