<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of the thermoelectric cooling or generation. SOLUTION: A device comprises n- and p-type elements 4 and 3 electrically connected end to end and electrodes 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d respectively connected to the other ends of the elements 3 and 4 to flow currents from the elements 3 to the elements 4 whereby the heat is generated at the connected ends of the electrodes 3 and 4 and absorbed at the other ends thereof. In this case, a heat pipe 6 is coupled to the mutually electrically connected ends of the elements 3 and 4 so as to transfer the heat.</p> |
