PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize both removing of a phase fluctuation error due to the cause other than a position to be detected such as temperature change and others, and high speed responsibility. SOLUTION: The output signal is inputted from a position sensor 10 such as a resolver, etc., which outputs two alternating output signals, whose amplitude are modulated according to different two function values (sign and cosine) corresponding to the position. The electrical phase of one of the inputted alternating output signals is shifted by a specified angle, and it is added to and subtracted from the other, and two electric alternating signals (sin(ωt±d+θ), sin(ωt±d-θ)), which are provided with the electrical phase angles (θ) corresponding to the position, and phase-shifted (14) in reverse direction, are electrically synthesized. Contrary to the two signals, of which phase differences (θ) corresponding to the position are shifted in positive/negative reverse direction, phase fluctuation errors (±d) are in the same direction, so that each phase shift amount (±d+θ,±d-θ) are measured and precisely calculated for offsetting or extracting the error (±d), and the precise phase difference (θ) are detected. The data of error (±d) is also the temperature detection data.
