PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form detector for a PPC which is constituted so that an upper paper is discriminated to be a film for an OHP when the film for an OHP is superposed on a plain paper and whose size is made compact to such an extent that it is integrated in a copying machine. SOLUTION: This form detector is provided with a light source 1 for irradiating the form 2 to be detected and a detector 3 for detecting the light from the form 2. The form 2 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays from above by the light source 1 and it is detected by the detector 3 whether a fluorescence is emitted from the form 2 or not. When the fluorescence is detected, the form 2 is judged to be a plain paper. When it is not detected, it is judged that the film for an overhead projector is superposed on the plain paper. |
