PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To refer to detailed help information as well without using the memory of large capacity by providing a storage means for tentatively storing the detailed help information communicated from a host computer in a copying machine. SOLUTION: When the fixed variable power rate key of a setting means 221 disposed to the operation panel 22 of the copying machine is pressed, a prescribed picture is displayed at a display means 222. When 'help' is pressed, a control part 20 displays simple explanation relating to a variable power rate and displays 'detailed information display' at the display means 222. When the 'detailed information display' 15 pressed, the control part 20 requests the detailed help information relating to the variable power rate through a network control unit(NCU) 23, a modem 24 and a public line 4 to the host computer. Then, the transmitted detailed help information is tentatively stored in the prescribed area of a help information memory 21 and detailed explanation relating to the variable power rate is displayed at the display means 222. |
