The divider employs an elongated strip (1) with a high degree of rigidity in the horizontal plane, but vertically flexible enough for uneven ground. The strip is supported at intervals by a succession of carriages (2) running on rollers (5) and equipped with jacks (6) for lifting. The strip comprises a succession of identical assemblies of two rectilinear edges bolted together with transverse spacing plates. It lies on the ground until the carriage bodies with their covers (7) are raised by operation of the jacks.
