PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery of high safety free from a concern about a fire or a rapture even in the situation of a battery collapse. SOLUTION: Regarding a rechargeable nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery using a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte, one or both of a positive electrode with a metallic foil as a current collector mainly formed out of aluminum and having an elongation rate between 20% and 60%, and a negative electrode with a current collector mainly formed out of Cu or Ni and having an elongation rate between 40% and 50%, are used to form the battery.
