PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To composite a three-dimensional image and a sectional image and to display them without losing information on the scattering characteristics of an organization inside a specimen included in the sectional image and granular characteristics. SOLUTION: A three-dimensional image display 1 has a three-dimensional image processing part 6 and a memory 7 for three-dimensional image and the three-dimensional image processing part 6 includes an image compositing part 13 and a sectional image extraction part 14. The memory 7 for three-dimensional image keeps a three-dimensional image which is subjected to such image treatment as smoothing processing and the boundary extraction processing of a target and a three-dimensional image before the image processing is performed. The sectional image extraction part 14 extracts a set section from a three- dimensional image which is not subjected to image processing. The image processing part 13 composites the three-dimensional image which has been subjected to image processing and an extracted sectional image to generate a three-dimensional image.
