PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an X-ray intensity distribution having a rectangular isointensity plane, increase the radiated X-ray quantity, and increase the utilization rate of X-rays when a main discharge section of laser oscillation is preliminarily ionized. SOLUTION: A coil-like cathode 23 is arranged in an envelope 20, and sector targets 26, 27 are protruded on the inner wall of the envelope 20 toward the cathode Z3. When electrons are emitted from the cathode 23, the electrons are accelerated toward the targets 26, 27 protruded on the inner wall of the envelope 20 to collide with them, and X-rays are radiated by this collision. The X-rays are diverged into the sector shapes of the targets 26, 27, and a uniform X-ray intensity distribution having a sector (or rectangular) isointensity plane can be formed. |
