PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for the heating to produce scorches on an article of food, for the utensil to keep from cracking even under a sudden heating by a heat-evolving body, and for oily food to be dealt with by providing a microwave-absorbent heat-evolving body having a netted structure and an oil pool at the bottom of a vessel on which the heat-evolving body is mounted. SOLUTION: A microwave-absorbent heat-evolving body has a netted structure and a vessel on which the heat-evolving body is mounted has an oil pool at the bottom. Placed in direct contact with the heat-evolving body, the vessel is exposed to a sudden change in temperature accompanying the heating of the heat-evolving body. Therefore, the vessel needs to be resistant to thermal fatigue through thermal shocks and repetitive cooking. To produce scorches on food, at least a temperature of over 300 deg.C is necessary. For this reason the coefficient of linear expansion of a material for the vessel should be under 3×10<-6> / deg.C and what will make a primary ingredient thereof is cordierite, spodumene, eucryptite, aluminous keytite, aluminum titanate, or zirconyl phosphate.
