PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably carry a transfer material after being separated from an image carrier and to prevent 'tailing edge curling', irregularities in an image caused by the fact and the generation of a drop of water caused by a failure in removement of static charge by arranging an electrostatic attracting means and a static charge removing member in a transfer material carrying path on the downstream side in the carrying direction of the transfer material from a transfer part, in order. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with the electrostatic attracting member 23, the destaticization member 14 and an electrostatic attracting/carrying member 24 in order in the carrying direction of the transfer material, on the transfer material exit side of a transfer nip part N. In order words, the electrostatic attracting member 23 is interposed between the transfer part N and the destaticization member 14, so that the part of the transfer material after passing through the transfer part N is forcibly separated from the surface of the image carrier 1 by the member 23, 'the curling of the tailing edge part' of the transfer material after passing through the transfer part is prevented by attracting force of the member 23 and the irregularities in the image due to the curling of the tailing edge' can be prevented as well. Since the static charge of the transfer material part is removed by the charge removing member 14 just behind the member 23, the irregularities in the image such as 'the drop of water' due to the approaching of the transfer material which carries an excessive transfer charge, because of the failure in he destaticization, to a low resistance member in the carrying path can be prevented.
