STILL IMAGE TRANSMITTER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the still image transmitter in which a channel is selected by a recipient without provision of an incoming channel toward a still image transmitter (broadcast station) by using a transmission format in compliance with the MPEG2 and encoding an image frame in the transmission of a still image so as to allow a receiver to discriminate a corresponding bit. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a coding means 1 that provides a specific frame number to each of plural still image frames as additional information and encodes the resulting frame into a bit stream according to the MPEG2 and with a decoding means 2 that separates an output of the coding means 1 into the additidnal information and the still image data and decodes only the still image data with a frame number designated by a recipient and displays the decoded signal. Then a still image output is obtained through the selection of the recipient without an incoming channel.
