PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the subdivision of a reflecting face and improve the appearance of a lighting fixture for a head lamp for a vehicle which has a stepped reflecting mirror by forming a horizontal cut line without using a shade. SOLUTION: A C-8 type of shadeless bulb 14 is arranged for the lower end of its filament 16 to be matched to the light axis Ax of a reflecting mirror 10. A horizontal cut line forming step 12aH among a plural of light distributing steps 12a constituting a reflecting face 12 is arranged vertically across virtual lines Lh1, Lh2 on the reflecting face 12 corresponding to a horizontal cut line, the vertical section in upper and lower areas are set to be short and long focal point paraboloids, respectively, and light flux reflected from both areas is used to form the horizontal cut line. The short and long focal point paraboloids are smoothly connected together at their tops. In this way, the horizontal cut line forming step 12aH can be constructed by one step without a level difference and bending. |
