PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both high responsibility of pointer driving to the variation of traveling condition of a vehicle such as vehicle speed and engine rotation speed, etc., and smoothness of the pointer driving. SOLUTION: A travel state value varying with travel state of the vehicle is, with the use of a travel pulse from a travel sensor, periodically calculated synchronizing with the period of the travel pulse every calculation time, a pointer driving stepping motor 9 is driven to rotate by 1 step in the direction that travel condition value indicating pointer nears the newest calculated travel condition value from a current indication value. And, when the rotational drive for one step of the stepping motor 9 is performed taking the time calculated from a formula that the difference value between the newest calculated travel condition value and the current indication value of the pointer is multiplied by a specified coefficient, the value of the specified coefficient is increased with reduction of the newest travel condition value. |
