PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up clip processing by excluding data unnecessary for the clip processing out of mask plane data stored in a memory part from an object of clip processing while storing them, and recovering these data when they are required again. SOLUTION: Image data are received from the outside by an image processing part 1 and processed by a plotting processing part 3 and afterwards, it is judged whether there are unwanted mask plane data in a memory part 6 or not. When there is the unnecessary mask plane, whether it is possible to require it again or not is judged and when there is no possibility, it is deleted but when there is possibility, that mask plane is excluded from the object of clip processing while being stored in the memory part 6. When this mask plane excluded from the object of clip processing is required, namely, when the use of this mask plane is requested from a clip managing part 2, this mask plane is recovered as the object of clip processing. |
