PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute excellent injection electrification and to obtain a good image by using an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing an organic compound having specified reducing potential in its surface layer and performing the injecting electrification. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic device is provided with an electrifying member which is arranged in contact with the electrophotographic photoreceptor and on which voltage is impressed to electrify the photoreceptor, an exposure means, a developing means and a transfer means. The surface layer of the photoreceptor contains the organic compound having <=0.5V reducing potential, and injecting electrification is performed. By using the photoreceptor having specified constitution, the excellent injecting electrification is executed. Namely, since the organic compound having <=0.5V reducing potential is used, the compound is easily dispersed more uniformly than metallic oxide, and a large-scale producing device is not required like in the case of a silicon carbide layer. |
