The osteosynthesis pin has a curved upper end (2a), designed to engage with the head of the humerus. It has a section (2b) which is enlarged laterally, with a rounded shape, and ends in two flat surfaces (2c) converging to a sharp edge (2d). The sharp edge of the pin facilitates its penetration through the spongy tissues of the bone, and in the event of resistance to its advance a new path can be selected.
