摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the whole compensation effect of a self-excited reactive power compensating device capable of compensating active power to be transiently changed and reactive power. SOLUTION: Only when a synthetic signal IS1 of an active power compensating current command signal IP obtained from load current IL and a reactive power compensating current command signal IQ exceeds the rated ISR of a self-excited SVC 14, a gain circuit 18 suppresses the amplitude of the signal IP by suppressing gain KP, and only when the command signal IQ exceeds the rated ISR, a gain circuit 19 suppresses the amplitude of the signal IQ by another suppressing gain KQ. An active power compensating current command signal IPS and a reactive power compensating current command signal IQS outputted from respective gain circuits 18, 19 are synthesized and the synthetic signal is used as a final compensating current command signal IC for controlling the SVC 14.
